Would you let another woman breastfeed your child?
Charlotte Edwardes was initially shocked to find her newborn at another woman's breast. Now she wonders why she was so squeamish about a practice as old as motherhood itself
I just stumbled upon your blog today :) Very happy to have found it. I just wanted to write in that I have breastfed 2 children that weren't mine. One belonged to my oldest sister and the child is 8 mths younger than my own. The other one I nursed belonged to another sister of mine. We were taking a road trip and she asked me if I could; I had offered, since she was driving. That baby is 3 mths older than another one of my children.
My oldest was nursed my oldest a few times too.
So, obviously, I have no qualms about this particular issue. I do think you should ask if its okay to do so though.
The Human Lactation Information blog is where I note research, articles, links and advocacy materials for my own personal reference and use. The opinions which I express on this blog are mine entirely, and do not necessarily reflect the views of any organization with which I am affiliated.
